How to setup Hyperterminal


in win xp ...goto start /programs/accessories and look through it ..i think its located in communications
for vista google HTPE5.exe and install it ...you will find it in start menu

open hyperterminal
it will ask for area code just enter it and nothing else

then to setup a new connection .. a new connection wizard should popup

just give it a name Ex. PARIZA and choose an icon
select ok

in connect using block ..choose the com port that the loader normally uses...most comps is com 1
click ok

set

bits per second to 112500
data bits to 8
parity none
stop bits 1
flow control ..none
apply and ok


select file at top select save as and save connection to desktop ...
this is where you what you open next time to load a file rather then goin through setup each time
you wont need to open the hyperterminal in start menu any more unless you need to setup a new connection

now close all




to load bin or factory flash

make sure capslock is not on keyboard because capital and lower case make a big difference to loader

leave receiver off

open pariza connection you saved earlier on desktop ...close any other hyperterminal applications you have open

flick unit on ..when it powers up
you will see a bunch stuff popup in hyperterminal window
when it says waiting for user input

to load regular bin
push the (a) button on keyboard (lowercase)

to load factory flash push (e) (lowercase)
this wil show in the window .................C....
goto transfer tab at top select send file
select browse ...Browse to latest bin or to factory flash depending on what you are loading
for protocol set it to 1K Xmodem

and push send ...the file should start to load and you should be seeing the file being loaded in packets area

be patient and wait for all to complete
when the file is completely loaded the little popup will disappear and erasing and writing will start in the main window
when its all done receiver will show 8888
unhook and close all

*NOTE*
(you will have about 20 seconds from time you push (a) or (e) waiting from user input til you have the file ready to load or it will time out so try to be a little quick

if it times out flick off receiver and back on again
when you see it popup in main window )
