This entire kit is to get a Atmega up with a 501 DVR it will also work for 508 cause there the same except hard drive
One thing that makes a 501 harder to change is because the Hard Drive is Married to the IRD # and Boxkey so you need to change that and you have to get the hard drive to change to.
How you get this to change the ird # and boxkey on is use a older firmware(INCLUDED) then it will update the firmware and change it.
YOU DO NOT need to remove the hard drive or erase sectors its EASY to do it this way.
