converting a 420 re to a 301-013

I have heard from some reliable people that this can be done. I have successfully jtaged and erased the tsop and wrote it back. Just wondering if anyone would share any info on this. Any info will be greatly appreciated and very helpful.

I have read it does work to a point... as a 3100 you only get one of the two sats

Ihave a dual chip 420 re and can't seem to get it to write correctly and the 420 doesn't boot up but can erase and rewrite the 420 as many times as I can is there something that I don't know about or not doing correctly any help will be thankful.
